Enterprise Banking System

Client Introduction

The Agriculture Bank of China is a nationwide bank and a leader in the financial services field. It is one of the six largest banks in China.

Business Challenge

Enterprises financial management requires daily contact with banks. Nationwide enterprises with many branches require even greater daily contact covering aspects such as centralizing capital, cash management and investment. In order to prepare for the new WTO regulations and the competition that will follow, the bank had to improve its capabilities and automate the enterprise cash management process.

Our Solution

In the Enterprise Banking System (EBS) project HGS deployed a team of 10 engineers, composed of 6 developers, 3 testers and 1 PM. After 2 months of onsite requirements analysis, in which the customer took a key role, the team moved back to HGS premises for the design period. The team chose a Client/Server architecture for the system, designed using Object Oriented techniques using EJB technology. The system was successfully completed on time.

From the client point of view, all the features were implemented as requested. In addition, extra features were identified in the development process and were added to the system. The system User Interface was designed to be configurable to fit the different user types. In addition, the system was integrated into the existing ERP and CRM client systems to give a complete solution to the client's cash handling problem. The new EBS extends clients' ability to manage their account.

Hundsun delivered all related documentation including requirements documents, design documents, a user guide and the entire set of technical guide.

Value Delivered

Significant benefits were achieved through the functions provided by EBS. Enterprise customers can manage their accounts more efficiently and with extra security. EBS has improved customer efficiency, extending bank service to the electronic operation in the enterprises and connecting bank systems with their ERP system. Thus, the enterprises can easily make payments, check their up-to-date financial situation and optimize cash management.
