Total solution - Fund Management System

Client Introduction

Incorporated in May 2004, China International Fund Management Co., Ltd. is the joint venture between J.P. Morgan Fleming Asset Management (UK) Limited ("JPMorgan Fleming") and Shanghai International Trust and Investment Co., Ltd. ("SITICO").

It has a registered capital of RMB150 million (or approximately US$18.2 million) with JPMorgan Fleming and SITICO currently holding 33% and 67% stakes respectively.

Business Challenge

The client required an open fund solution that will be suitable for 3-5 years of on going business. The system needed to support the account data of 50 million client records, exchange of 5 million transactions per day, account exchange of 30 trades per second. The system needed to support different exchange modes including telephone, internet, etc. The client had no system to automate this process before.

Our Solution

The project involved a complete solution for Fund Management (including hardware equipment, computer center construction and data center construction). It was designed according to customer requirements and is a proprietary solution for the company.

The project took 6 months, altogether 20 persons engaged in, including

Including: 2 system designers, 5 developers, and 5 testing engineers

After a detailed study of the client's requirements, Hundsun provided a solution which includes the following:
1. Hundsun provided the HW equipment, installation and administration support.
2. The design and implementation of system security. The solution included security solution for UNIX platform, ORACLE, WIN2000 platform, MSSQL and security solution for the fund application system.
3. The design and implementation of WIN2000 domain solution.
4. The design and implement of system restore solution and of system backup.
5. The open fund system included register and transfer system, direct sales system of open fund, investment and trade system.

Value Delivered

The system, developed by Hundsun, provided comprehensive solutions for the client's Funding management process. The system supports the various exchange modes required, such as internet, telephone and in addition new modes of exchange like SMS and so on. Furthermore, it offers click-on function for further system expansion.

After adopting the new system, the amount of customers was increased dramatically due to its high quality and efficiency. The client achieved further revenue growth through the new system.
